Centrifuge Duet Books in Order

The Centrifuge Duet is where Kylie Hillman pushes furthest into psychological suspense. If the MC and MMA books are dark romances with danger wrapped around them, this series moves the danger to the center and lets the romance turn unsettling.

The story begins with Amnesia, and the premise is nasty in exactly the way the title hints. Dr. Jaxon Ray wants Amber St. George back, and instead of winning her honestly, he builds a plan around memory loss, manipulation, and control. That makes the first book less a comfort read and more a slow, claustrophobic descent into obsession. The fear comes from how carefully the trap is built.

Attest picks up that tension through Xander Barrett, another character caught in the machinery of greed, deceit, and power. The series widens there, shifting from one person’s control game into a bigger knot of lies, revenge, and testimony. What starts as personal fixation becomes something broader and uglier.

This is a good series to approach as a thriller first. The emotional material is still strong, but the real engine is manipulation. Hillman leans into unreliable safety, false intimacy, and the awful feeling that the person standing closest to you may be the one rewriting your reality. Memory, truth, and consent all feel fragile here.

The tone is dark, fast, and uncomfortable on purpose. You are meant to feel boxed in. There is less of the communal warmth that turns up in the Black Shamrocks books, and much more of the sharp, lonely feeling that comes from being trapped inside someone else’s plan.

Read the duet in order. These books are tightly linked, and a lot of the power comes from watching one lie lead into the next. If you want the Kylie Hillman books that feel most like a psychological spiral, this is the series to pick.
