Camonghne Felix Books in Order

These poems examine a childhood shaped by violence without allowing violence to define it completely. Camonghne Felix explores the moments of joy and youthfulness that survive within painful memories, holding those conflicting experiences together in a brief collection.

Felix uses lyric poetry and memory to examine the aftermath of individual and collective trauma. The collection considers what sustains people through damage and how survival can create possibilities beyond the experiences that threaten to define a life.

A devastating breakup prompts Felix to revisit childhood trauma, mental health and patterns of intimacy. Using her experience of dyscalculia to examine mistaken calculations in love, she questions how people understand hurt and claim the right to their own pain.

Drawing on political work, family history and Black radical writing, Felix considers poetry as a model for freedom. Part memoir and part manifesto, the book examines how language, ethical imagination and refusal might reshape collective life beyond conventional politics.
