Barretti Security revolves around the extended Barretti family, an Italian American clan with deep roots in both legitimate business and the criminal underworld. The story really starts in the background of the Escort books, where Dominic Barretti and his wife Sylvie play key roles, but the first Barretti Security novel, Loving Vin, focuses on Vin, the steady eldest brother.
