A stolen device from a Palo Alto research facility puts Badger in the middle of CIA intrigue, an internal mole, and a black ops outfit ready to use dangerous technology for its own ends. The geography widens, the stakes go international, and the pace gets even tighter. But the core of the series stays the same. Badger still wins by tracking, noticing what others miss, and refusing to let go when a case starts to push back.

What should readers expect overall? These books sit in the lane between thriller and adventure novel. There are fights, chases, surveillance problems, corrupt power structures, and mysteries that unravel one ugly layer at a time. Badger is not a superhero, and the stories are better for that. He is capable, scarred, stubborn, and often outnumbered.
