Animorphs Graphix adapts the opening books of Katherine Applegate's alien-invasion series into full-color graphic novels. The core story is the same: a group of teenagers learns that Yeerks are taking over Earth in secret, receives the ability to morph into animals, and becomes the planet's unlikeliest defense.

The graphic format makes the transformations immediate. Readers can see Jake become a lizard, Rachel use a cat to investigate a dangerous secret, and the team face creatures that were once left to the imagination. The art also gives new weight to the ordinary places that matter in the series, such as schools, homes, malls, woods, and the hidden spaces used by the Yeerks.
