Series background & context

The A Perfect Fit series is a run of connected small-town romantic comedies set in Granite, Texas. Each main novel gives a new plus-size heroine the spotlight, along with a love story that starts in a complicated, often funny place. The books share a warm Texas setting and familiar faces, but each couple has its own complete story.

The first book, Size Matters, follows bakery owner Leah Martin. Tired of dieting, criticism, and her mother's opinions about her life, Leah is thrown off balance when contractor Sam Cooper tells her mother that they are engaged. They are not. Keeping up the fake engagement should be simple, but their friendship and attraction make the lie much harder to manage.

On the Plus Side shifts to Valerie Carmichael, who has had a longtime crush on Logan Mathis, her brother's best friend. Valerie takes a job at Logan's new bar after telling a small lie, then finds herself working closely with the one man she wants to notice her. Logan has feelings of his own, but family ties and a secret put pressure on both of them.

Food is a big part of this world.

In More to Love, redheaded chef Jessa Gibson is building a future in Granite with her gourmet food truck. Her plans hit a snag when Max Hager shows up as a local health inspector, complete with some very odd complaints about her kitchen. Max is not quite what he claims to be, and the story turns their clashing personalities into an enemies-to-lovers romance with real consequences when the truth comes out.

The short story Meant to Be offers a second-chance relationship between Sidney Larson and mechanic Brett Carmichael. They broke up because Brett's controlling behavior made the relationship untenable. Their reunion works because the story treats change as work, not magic. Brett has taken steps to understand his past mistakes, while Sidney has to decide whether trust can be rebuilt.

The fourth full novel, Out of the Blue, follows antiques dealer Preslee Owens as she begins a wellness journey at Granite's gym. An accidental livestream makes her first workout public, and personal trainer Adam Caldwell offers support, training, and a fake-boyfriend arrangement. Preslee's growing confidence is as important as the romance.

Expect open-hearted humor, sexual tension, close-knit town life, and heroines who are not all dealing with the same concerns about their bodies. Start with Size Matters for the full Granite experience, or choose any of the novels for a self-contained romance.
