It still feels like her work, though. The hero is nonhuman, intense, and unsettling in a way that turns flirty almost as fast. The attraction does not begin soft. It comes with bargaining, pursuit, and the deeply awkward realization that accidentally summoning a supernatural male is not a problem with a tidy, sensible fix.

Because the series is made of standalones, it is easy to jump in anywhere. Naomi's book works on its own, and it is a good pick if you like monster romance but want something shorter and more playful than Cyborg Shifters or Naga Brides. Think novella pace, magical mess, and a monster hero who has absolutely no desire to be sent back where he came from.
