Witch Bound Books in Order

Witch Bound is Opal Reyne's dragon-and-witch fantasy romance series, and it has a different flavor from Duskwalker Brides even though some of the same interests are still there. The books are built around old hatred, strong attraction, and the constant problem of wanting the one person you have every reason to distrust. If you are here for dragons who are not just decorative, this is the right series.

At the center of the world are witches and dragons, two groups with a long, ugly history between them. That tension shapes everything. The first book, The WitchSlayer, begins in a smaller, more intimate way. Amalia is isolated and sheltered, and then a storm, a cat, and a strange flying creature drag her into contact with Rurik, a dragon warrior who has spent his life killing her kind. He saves her, imprisons her, and cannot quite decide what to do with her after that. The setup is classic forced proximity, but the emotional angle comes from how little either of them really understands about the other.

Then the series opens wider.

The ShadowHunter shifts from den-and-forest tension into a more political story. Valerie is trying to find her stolen younger sister, and that search pushes her into danger, deception, and the orbit of Geryon, a dragon who turns desire into a complication she absolutely does not need. Court settings, hidden motives, and family loyalty carry more weight here. The Nightmare keeps building the world with Carwyn and Kier, pairing a witch who wants relief from her own powers with a dragon desperate to save the last of his family.

One nice thing about Witch Bound is that each book gives you a new couple while still deepening the same broader conflict. You can feel the world getting larger without losing sight of the romance. Reyne uses different setups too. One book is moodier and more isolated. Another leans into court pressure and rescue. Another turns on reluctant cooperation and a dragon who needs a witch's help. That variety keeps the series from feeling repetitive, even though the core promise remains dragon plus witch, trouble follows.

The tone is fantasy romance first, with enough action and lore to keep the books moving. Expect possessive dragons, wary witches, hidden identities, travel, danger, and relationships that have to work through history as much as personal fear. The books are sensual, but they also care about who these people are when they are angry, scared, grieving, or trying to protect someone they love.

If Duskwalker Brides is Reyne's monster world, Witch Bound is her dragon world. It is a little cleaner in shape, a little more classic in its fantasy pairing, and still very much interested in how two enemies end up becoming each other's safest place.
