After years of torture and magic, Ciarah escapes with shattered memories and lands in the hands of the Wild Hunt MC. In the Louisiana bayou, dark fae, old gods, and death ride beside her.
Series background & context
Wild Hunt Motorcycle Club takes fae mythology, biker-club danger, and bayou atmosphere and throws them into the same dark bottle. The first book, Dark Glitter, introduces Ciarah O'Rourke, who has spent years trapped, tortured, and magically manipulated for secrets she does not even know she carries.
When she escapes, she does not exactly land somewhere safe.
Instead, Ciarah ends up with the Wild Hunt Motorcycle Club, a ruthless group of riders with faerie blood and their own old magic. From their clubhouse in the Louisiana bayou, they offer protection and answers, but those things are never simple in a series like this. The men around her are dangerous in their own right, and Ciarah's missing memories are not just a personal problem. They are tied to power, identity, and the veil between worlds.
That is what gives the series its pull. It is not just biker romance with a paranormal skin. The supernatural side matters. Ciarah is bound up with ancient forces, death, and the possibility that she is far more important, and far more feared, than she realizes. The club is not merely a shelter. It is part of the machinery of the world she has stumbled back into.
The tone is darker and moodier than some of Tate James's other paranormal work. You get swampy atmosphere, old wounds, violent men, and a heroine trying to rebuild herself while something much larger closes in. Even with only one released book here, the setup makes the ongoing arc clear, Ciarah's past, the Wild Hunt's role, and the question of what kind of queen the dead are waiting for.
If you want your paranormal romance rougher around the edges, with biker leather, fae blood, and a heroine clawing her way back from ruin, this is the one to try.
