The Viking Lore series trades Highland castles for longships, North Sea crossings, and Norse villages. These historical romances follow characters whose lives are shaped by raids, family duty, old injuries, and the often harsh rules of the world around them. The series begins with Enthralled. Eirik sets out to raid the wealthy religious houses of Northumbria, hoping to secure his village's future. He has promised himself he will never claim another person as property. But when he meets Laurel during the raid on Whitby Abbey and his cruel cousin threatens her, Eirik breaks that promise to protect her, naming her his thrall.

Laurel has already endured a hard life as an orphan at the abbey. Captivity, travel across the sea, and fear of water leave her with little reason to trust anyone. The romance grows from that uneasy situation as Laurel fights for agency and Eirik has to prove that his sense of honor means something in practice, not only in words.

Later books move the focus to other couples in the same world. Shieldmaiden's Revenge follows Madrena, who has trained for years to take revenge, and Runin, a shipwrecked outsider with his own past. The Bride Prize is a shorter novella about Tarr and Eyva, a young woman who wants to train as a shieldmaiden rather than be tied to a farm and an unwanted future. Desire's Hostage continues the wider series, while Thor's Wolf returns readers to its Norse atmosphere in a shorter companion story.

The books are connected by setting and returning characters, but each main installment centers on a new romance. The stories include village politics, family pressure, voyages, rivalries, and the danger that comes with being viewed as an outsider. Prince does not avoid the difficult power structures of the period, but the emotional heart of the series is people trying to claim a safer, more honest life.

Expect a more rugged setting than in the Scottish books, plus shieldmaidens, healers, warriors, and characters who must choose between vengeance and a future they did not expect. The tone is passionate and adventurous, with strong emphasis on trust earned over time.
