VII Knights MC is a multi-author motorcycle-club series that reworks familiar fairy-tale ideas into adult romantic suspense. Sapphire Knight's contribution, Hunter, gives the shared club world a loose Sleeping Beauty twist while keeping the focus on danger, memory, and a biker who cannot walk away from someone in need.

Hunter, also known as Phillip, is a nomad and bounty hunter affiliated with the VII Knights. He values his independence and spends much of his life tracking people down rather than settling in one place. During a job, he finds Aura unconscious and close to death in the woods. Saving her becomes personal almost immediately.

Aura cannot explain who she is or how she got there.

As she recovers, Hunter tries to help Aura piece together the fragments of her past. She has spent years away from ordinary life and has little memory to guide her. The search for answers leads to questions about her family, missing people from her past, and the danger that put her in the woods in the first place.

The fairy-tale influence appears in the broad shape of the story rather than in a literal retelling. Aura is a mysterious woman awakening into a life she does not understand, while Hunter is a rougher, modern protector who must decide how much truth to tell her. Their romance grows alongside the investigation into her identity.

The wider VII Knights series includes different authors and different standalone stories linked by the motorcycle-club world. Hunter can be read independently, although readers who enjoy the shared setting may want to explore the other Knight stories too.
