Series background & context

Vested Interest: ABC Corp takes the emotional world of The Contract and Vested Interest and pushes it forward into the next generation. These books are full of familiar last names, old friendships, family expectations, and the strange pressure of growing up around people who seem larger than life. The younger characters inherit plenty, money, businesses, and connections, but they also inherit complicated standards for love and loyalty.

That is what makes the series fun. It is not just a workplace romance line with attractive people in expensive offices. It is a family saga in contemporary romance form. Grace VanRyan, Ronan, Liam, Ava, and the rest are connected by blood, history, and the kind of meddling support system that never really lets anyone disappear.

The bridge book matters here.

A Merry Vested Wedding eases readers into the handoff, and from there the series moves through office sparks, family complications, blue-collar contrasts, and stories where the younger cast has to figure out who they are outside the shadow of everyone who came before. Some books feel polished and corporate. Others move closer to ranches, small towns, or quieter personal reinventions. The mix keeps the series from feeling too samey.

Tone-wise, these books are usually softer than Moreland's darkest suspense work, but they still carry plenty of emotional weight. The heroes can be stubborn and possessive. The heroines are rarely pushovers. Even when the setup looks light, age gaps, class differences, public expectations, and past hurt keep the stakes real.

If you like connected romance where parents, siblings, cousins, and old friends keep wandering through the frame, this series delivers. It is best read as a world you settle into, not just a stack of isolated love stories. The reward is seeing how one big fictional family keeps growing without losing the warmth that made the earlier books work.
