Author bio

Veronica Eden writes romance with a strong sense of mood. Some of her books lean dark, obsessive, and full of power plays. Others are lighter, flirtier, and built around hockey players, beach towns, or holiday chaos. Across all of them, she tends to pair sharp heroines with heroes who talk big, fall hard, and usually have at least a few rough edges.

Her official bio describes her as a USA Today, Amazon Top 30, and international bestselling author. She writes spicy contemporary romance under Veronica Eden, and paranormal and fantasy romance under the pen name Luna Lark. That split fits her work well. One side gives readers college athletes, bad boys, and messy small-town chemistry. The other opens the door to shifters, demons, fate, and magic.

Before writing became the center of her career, Eden spent years building a wedding photography business with her husband. In a 2020 interview, she said the business started right out of college, and that she had always loved writing even while doing that work. It is an interesting match for a romance writer. Photography trains you to notice expression, tension, and timing, and her books often live in those charged little moments between people.

She did not make the jump into publishing in a vacuum.

On her blog, Eden has written about how much online writing communities mattered to her, especially the friends and fandom spaces that helped her grow and gave her the push to pursue writing beyond that world. That sense of community shows up in the books too. Even when the romance runs dark, her stories usually care about belonging, loyalty, and the feeling that two people are choosing each other against everything around them.

A few titles give a good feel for her range. Wicked Saint helped introduce readers to her darker high school romance world. Crowned Crows of Thorne Point moved into grittier romantic suspense with a morally gray college brotherhood at the center. Then books like Iced Out and Matching All the Way showed a warmer side of her voice, still spicy and emotional, but funnier and more openly swoony. If you want to see her push into paranormal romance, Alpha's Burden and Hell Gate make that shift clear without losing the intensity that ties her work together.

She is very much a mood writer, and she says so herself.

That idea helps explain why her catalog can swing from bullying and blackmail to cozy hockey-town banter to fated mates and ancient magic. The settings change, but the emotional engine stays familiar. Eden likes strong heroines, dangerous or irresistible heroes, and relationships that start with friction before tipping into deep attachment. Enemies to lovers, brother's best friend, fake dating, secret relationships, and morally gray love interests all have a home in her books.

Her public bios keep the personal details fairly simple, which honestly feels in character. She lives in Northeast Florida, and her contact page lists Jacksonville. When she is not writing, she says she is usually soaking up time at the beach, hanging out with her husband, dog, and cats, or trying to make room for even more plants. In that same 2020 interview, she joked that only her husband is allowed to read her books, because letting the rest of the family near the steamier scenes would be a bit much.

It is a small detail, but a memorable one. Eden's books may feature ruthless antiheroes, sweet hockey players, or demons guarding a gate to Hell, yet the writer behind them comes across as grounded, funny, and very aware of what romance readers show up for: chemistry, feeling, and one more chapter before bed.
