Vampireland Books in Order

Vampireland is the place where Lili St Germain turns from crime and dark romance toward supernatural horror. The key word here is horror. Even when there is tension between characters, the series does not present itself as a swoony vampire fantasy. It starts by telling you that survival is the real subject, and Walking Dead Girl earns that warning very quickly.

The main character is Mia Blake, a seventeen-year-old girl who is taken by vampires and pushed into a reality she never believed would touch her. Then the series twists the knife. Mia does die. She just does not stay dead. From there, the story becomes about what it means to wake up after that kind of ending and realize your life has not been restored, only warped into something stranger and much more dangerous.

That shift changes the whole feel of the series.

Mia is not trying to win a glamorous place in a hidden supernatural court. She is trying to understand what has been done to her, who controls the world around her, and whether any part of her old self can survive what comes next. The vampires here are predators first. Desire, fear, power, and violence are all tangled together, but the books keep their attention on the cost of being hunted and transformed.

The ongoing series pull comes from Mia's new state. Once she has crossed that line, there is no clean way back to the life she had before. Every choice is now colored by hunger, secrecy, and the threat of being used again. That makes the story less about one attack and more about a continuing fight over identity and control.

If you like dark paranormal stories that lean into danger instead of comfort, this is the version you are getting. Expect a bleak mood, a vulnerable but stubborn heroine, and a world where being saved does not necessarily mean being safe.
