Tupelo Grove Books in Order

Tupelo Grove is Colleen Coble in collaboration mode again, this time with Rick Acker, and the blend changes the feel in a good way. These books keep Coble's interest in secrets, broken trust, and second chances, but add a stronger legal and institutional angle through the shared setting of Tupelo Grove University.

The core relationship is between Savannah Webster and Hezekiah, or Hez, Webster. They are separated when the series begins, still bruised by tragedy and by Hez's struggles with alcohol. In What We Hide, Savannah finds herself under suspicion for murder and has little choice but to let Hez help. Where Secrets Lie raises the pressure with smuggling, fraud, family conflict, and trouble at the university. When Justice Comes brings the trilogy to a close with custody battles, old feuds, and enemies still determined to tear them apart.

This is very much a second-chance series.

Unlike some Coble books where a new romance forms under pressure, Tupelo Grove is about whether a damaged marriage can be rebuilt while both people are still under fire. That gives the emotional side a different texture. The suspense is there, but so is the question of what forgiveness really costs.

The Gulf Coast setting and the university backdrop help too. Artifacts, local history, money trouble, family legacies, and legal strategy all give these books a slightly more procedural and intellectual edge than Coble's pure coastal thrillers.

If you want her suspense with more courtroom thinking, more marriage-in-crisis emotion, and a collaborative voice that still feels recognizably Coble, Tupelo Grove is a strong choice.
