Series background & context

The True Immortality books take Samantha Young's paranormal side into a bigger, more adult supernatural world. This is not a hidden-magic setting with just one secret group lurking in the shadows. It is a full supernatural network of werewolves, vampires, immortals, fae-borne figures, and old powers all circling the same central threat, the gate to Faerie and what might happen if it opens.

Each main book follows a different couple, but the series is tightly linked by that larger conflict. War of Hearts introduces Thea Quinn and Conall MacLennan, pairing a hunted heroine with the Alpha of the last werewolf pack in Scotland. Right away the world feels dangerous, layered, and morally messy. People are working under bad bargains, grief is driving hard decisions, and attraction shows up where it would be much more convenient if it did not.

Kiss of Vengeance moves the story to Rose Kelly and Fionn Mór, widening the mythology and bringing Ireland more strongly into the picture. Kiss of Eternity acts as a bridge, and Bound by Forever pushes the larger series arc forward through Niamh and Kiyo, tying romance to prophecy, psychic vision, and the possibility of war between worlds. Later books connected to the same world keep expanding that supernatural cast.

What makes the series work is the balance between couple-focused romance and ongoing fantasy stakes. Young never forgets that readers are there for the relationship, but she also gives the world enough shape that choices feel consequential beyond one pairing. A vampire's revenge, a werewolf's duty, a fae-borne mission, none of it exists in a vacuum.

If you want adult paranormal romance that feels bigger than one town, one pack, or one magical rulebook, True Immortality is the page to start with. Expect passionate pairings, ancient grievances, travel across different corners of the supernatural world, and an ongoing sense that love here is never just personal. It is bound up with survival, destiny, and the dangerous question of what happens when the worlds humans know and the worlds they do not are forced together.
