Alizeh is a Jinn queen in hiding, working as a servant and secret seamstress in the human kingdom of Ardunia. When crown prince Kamran witnesses her quiet strength and learns of a prophecy that links her icy blood to his grandfather’s death, their fates—and their hearts—become dangerously entangled.
Series background & context
The This Woven Kingdom books are sweeping young adult fantasies inspired by Persian mythology, full of court intrigue, ancient prophecy, and star‑crossed romance. Across four novels, they follow Alizeh, a hidden Jinn queen, and Kamran, the human crown prince who is fated to love and possibly lose her.
In This Woven Kingdom, Alizeh works as a servant and secret seamstress in the human kingdom of Ardunia, hiding the ice in her veins and the strange color of her eyes. The Fire Accords strictly control Jinn, and discovery would mean imprisonment or death, so she keeps her head down and pours her skill into stitching enchanted clothes.
Kamran has grown up on stories that a creature with ice in its veins will kill his grandfather, King Zaal. When he glimpses Alizeh defending herself in the street and then shows mercy to the boy who attacked her, he can’t shake the feeling that the quiet, veiled girl is at the center of the prophecy—and of something much bigger than his own life.
By the end of that first book, a visiting king named Cyrus has murdered Zaal and stolen Alizeh away to his kingdom of Tulan, claiming she must marry him to save her people. These Infinite Threads and All This Twisted Glory widen the story into a triangle of competing loyalties: Kamran rebuilding Ardunia while hunting for Alizeh, Cyrus bound to her by a devil’s bargain, and Alizeh herself trying to claim a throne without losing her soul.
Cyrus offers Alizeh both his kingdom and his eventual death, sealing their promise with a forbidden blood oath that ties his life to hers. The Jinn gather, human nobles whisper about rebellion, and Alizeh is torn between political duty, old love, and a growing, complicated connection with the boy she’s been told to kill.
The fourth book, Every Spiral of Fate, brings those tensions to a head on the day of Alizeh and Cyrus’s wedding. The ceremony itself is wrapped in enchantments and prophecy, while Kamran and other enemies move in from the shadows, determined to shape—or shatter—the future of both Jinn and humans.
Taken together, the series offers slow‑burn romance, elaborate magic systems, and a steady drip of secrets, so it works best if you read the books in order without skipping around.
