Series background & context

The Redemption series is set in Redemption Falls, a small town where the roads are winding, the neighbors notice everything, and the past has a way of reappearing at the worst possible time. It is a contemporary romance setting built for second chances, chosen family, and people trying to make a different life from the one they left.

Small towns remember.

The series begins with Until You, which follows Crew Madden after a traumatic event pushes him to look for a quieter place to recover with his twin daughters. He rents a cottage in Redemption Falls expecting a temporary reset, only to meet Tennyson West, the guarded woman living nearby.

Tennyson has come to town for her own fresh start. She has left behind a life of comfort and expectations, choosing solitude and anonymity instead. Crew and his daughters disrupt the careful distance she has built, while Crew finds that his plan to focus only on his family becomes harder once Tennyson is part of their days.

Their story carries several of the series’ main ideas: a parent trying to protect children while recovering from loss, a woman learning that starting over does not have to mean being alone, and a community that can be both intrusive and unexpectedly generous. Their attraction begins as something that seems temporary, but both characters have pasts that threaten to test whether a new relationship can hold.

Redemption Falls itself is more than background scenery. The town gives characters a place where friendships can form, old habits are challenged, and healing happens in ordinary moments as much as in big declarations. The romance is emotional and sensual, but it also makes room for family routines, neighbors, and the work of rebuilding trust.

The broader series is designed around interconnected romances in this same setting. Readers can expect later books to return to the town’s residents and to keep exploring the idea that redemption is not a single event. It is a choice people have to make again when old fears, grief, or secrets come calling.

Start with Until You to meet Redemption Falls and understand its central tone. It is a good fit for readers who like small-town contemporary romance, single-parent stories, guarded characters, and second chances that have to be earned slowly.
