The Rage War Books in Order

The Rage War is Tim Lebbon turning two already nasty science-fiction franchises into one long emergency. It begins with Predator: Incursion, where unusual Predator ship movements make the Colonial Marines think Earth is about to face a straight invasion. That would already be bad enough. Then everyone realizes the Predators are not advancing with confidence, they are being pushed.

The force doing the pushing is the Rage, and they are exactly the kind of enemy a crossover like this needs. They are big enough to frighten the Predators, ruthless enough to burn through planetary defenses, and smart enough to use the worst possible weapon, xenomorphs turned into instruments of war. By Alien: Invasion, the conflict has widened into a full catastrophe, with humans and Predators forced into an alliance that neither side would choose under normal circumstances.

That alliance is the real fun of the trilogy. The books are not quiet creature features. They are military science fiction with horror DNA, full of ships, marines, androids, collapsing fronts, and species that only work together because the alternative is extinction. Then Alien vs. Predator: Armageddon cashes out the whole setup by bringing the war home on a bigger scale and asking whether even that alliance can hold.

These books are built to escalate.

So the ongoing arc is clear. Each novel widens the battlefield, worsens the odds, and forces the surviving characters to think less about winning and more about what might still be saved. If you like your Alien and Predator fiction big, fast, and openly at war, this trilogy does exactly that. It respects the monster roots, but it also understands that sometimes the most entertaining move is to light the fuse and let the whole galaxy feel it.
