Series background & context

This is Honey Phillips in sports-romance mode, but with orcs. The Orc Hockey League takes the structure of a modern team series, rivalries, locker-room loyalty, big personalities, and public pressure, then folds in monster-romance intensity.

The heroes are athletes, but they are still Honey Phillips heroes, controlled until they are not, intimidating from the outside, and very clear about who they want. The heroines tend to bring exactly the kind of chaos or challenge that throws those careful routines off balance.

If you want something cozier and more contemporary than her space books, but still larger than life, this series is a fun change of pace.
