The Obsidian Order Books in Order

The Obsidian Order begins with Wings of Light, a fast-moving urban fantasy about Seline, a supernatural young woman living quietly in New York with her best friend Fate. She has spent years keeping her origins hidden and trying not to draw attention.

Then Draven finds her.

Draven works for the Obsidian Order, an organization that deals with supernatural threats and expects obedience from the people it recruits. Seline is given an ugly choice: join the Order and pass its deadly trials, or face consequences that put both her and Fate in danger. The trouble is that Seline has missing memories and does not understand the magic she needs to survive.

The story continues through Wings of Night, Wings of Shadow, and Wings of Fire. Together, the books follow Seline as she learns more about her past, develops her abilities, and faces the larger conflicts pressing on the supernatural world. The series is part of a connected setting that also includes The Wardbreaker and The Devil of Harrowgate.

New York matters here. It is a crowded human city with hidden magical communities, rifts between worlds, and creatures who have learned to pass for ordinary people. That contrast gives the series its energy. Seline can grab food, argue with Fate, and worry about rent, then get dragged into a fight with people who want her dead.
