The Nest Books in Order

The Nest is Piper Rayne's Chicago hockey romance series built around the Chicago Falcons and the people closest to them. If Hockey Hotties leans sun-soaked and flashy, this one feels a little more intimate and relationship-driven, with more exes, siblings, weddings, and long-held feelings waiting to explode.

The emotional mess arrives early.

Mr. Heartbreaker opens with a heroine who promised her brother she would never date his teammates, only to end up in a very not-casual situation with one anyway. Mr. Broody dives into a deep second-chance story involving a single-dad player and the woman who once loved him. Mr. Swoony brings in a runaway-bride setup, a goalie, and a bucket list that changes everything. Mr. Charming shifts to social-media management, old heartbreak, and a reunion that is anything but simple. Then The Nest Before Christmas gathers the whole world back together for a holiday trip full of wives, kids, delays, and travel disaster.

What ties the series together is proximity. These characters are linked by team life, shared history, and the fact that personal boundaries tend to collapse fast once everybody keeps landing in the same orbit. Piper Rayne make good use of that. The players feel like part of one larger brotherhood, but the series never lets the women fade into the background.

The tone is romantic and funny, with enough emotional history to keep things from feeling too easy. These are not first-glance strangers so much as people already carrying history into the room.
