The series starts with Not So Silent Night, where Colton's dream of the perfect movie-style Christmas quickly runs into reality. From there, Sleigh It Ain't So, Home for the Howlidays, and Rebel without a Claus keep returning to the same festive setting while shifting focus among different couples in the Kings circle. The result is cozy, connected, and very clearly meant to be enjoyed in sequence or in a quick seasonal binge.

What makes these books work is that Winterhaven is more than scenery. The town acts almost like a machine for emotional disruption. It pushes characters into slowdowns they would usually avoid, exposes stress cracks in relationships, and surrounds everyone with enough lights, traditions, and meddling cheer to make private grumpiness impossible to hide. That lets Cochet play with comfort-read pleasures like snow, decorations, family trips, and holiday expectations, while still giving the relationships something real to work through.

The tone is warm, but not empty.

These stories are about couples who already care deeply for each other.
