The Interview: New York & Los Angeles Books in Order

The Interview: New York & Los Angeles is really one long story told in two parts, and it helps to go in knowing that. The setup is classic romance wish fulfillment, a journalist gets assigned two impossible interviews with rich, private bachelors under thirty-five. The actual story is more personal than that, because Laurel is not just chasing a career break. She is also trying to outrun a difficult family history and the version of herself that history shaped.

The first book moves fast. Laurel travels between Seattle, Los Angeles, and New York, trying to get past the defenses of men who do not want to be known. Wyatt Coleman becomes the emotional center of the series, not because he is easy, but because he is not. Attraction arrives early, but both characters carry enough baggage to keep things unstable.

Then comes part two.

Instead of resetting with a new couple, the series stays with Laurel and Wyatt and asks the harder question, what happens after the first big rush of romance? That is where the health scare, family strain, and deeper emotional cracks come in. It gives the duet a slightly different feel from many of Lynn's other series, which usually rotate couples more quickly.

If you like contemporary romance that mixes travel, career ambition, wounded rich heroes, and a heroine who has to fight for both love and self-respect, this one has plenty to offer. Just be sure to read The Interview: Part 1 and The Interview: Part 2 back to back. It is very much a continuation, not a reset.
