The Houndsman Books in Order

Retired military builder Flint wants a quiet settlement and a life with his dog. A compulsory quest instead orders him to restore an ancient fort, defend a village, and protect a growing champion as war threatens the realm.

Flint has restored the fort, but defending it proves harder than rebuilding it. With stronger enemies approaching and rival interests dividing his allies, he must hold his pack and council together long enough to protect the village and its champion.

Separated from his home and missing a limb, Flint is stranded in a dark world threatened by monsters and a devouring god. Ancient druid machinery may offer escape for him, a trapped young woman, and their puppies.

Flint returns to find almost a decade has passed at home and his former council now rules without him. An approaching invasion forces him to overcome mistrust and unite the realm before a world-devouring enemy arrives.
