Series background & context

The Caelum Academy Trilogy is Serena Akeroyd's darker paranormal academy series. It follows Eve, a young woman raised in a cult who is sent to Caelum, an academy supposedly built to protect people like her. What she finds instead is a place full of students who can be just as dangerous as the outside world.

That contrast is the whole point of the series. Caelum is a refuge, but it is also a battlefield. The people there are labeled unstable or broken by the human world, yet inside the academy they are future fighters in a hidden war. Eve enters that system already traumatized, already vulnerable, and already important.

That makes her a target.

The romance is why choose, with a protective group of boys whose bond with Eve grows as the danger around them sharpens. But the series is not only about mating bonds and attraction. It is also about survival, identity, and learning how to live after a childhood built on fear.

If you like academy romance with a heavier paranormal plot, this one delivers. Read the books in order. The emotional payoff depends on watching Eve move from hunted outsider to someone who can finally fight for her own future.
