The Bookstore at Holiday Bay Books in Order

Bookstore owners Lou and Velma prepare for Christmas in Holiday Bay when an employee introduces a teenager seeking work. Hiring the young woman brings her concealed troubles into their lives, setting unexpected events in motion amid the holiday preparations.

Lou’s senior sleuthing group investigates whether a local mansion is genuinely haunted. When their inquiries cause present-day problems for the contractor renovating it, Lou fears their new hobby has drawn them into trouble during Holiday Bay’s Halloween season.

Widowed Lou Prescott buys her niece’s seaside bookstore and builds a new life around books, coffee, and rescued cats. When a member of her murder mystery club dies, the readers turn amateur investigators to solve their friend’s death.

Lou receives a strange package apparently containing clues without any explanation of the mystery they belong to. She asks her Tuesday-night sleuthing group to help work backward through the puzzle and uncover what the sender wants them to discover.

As autumn brings shorter days and fireside gatherings, Lou’s Holiday Bay bookstore continues to unite a circle of friends. Their shared lives and challenges take another turn when a new mystery calls on the group’s amateur sleuthing skills.

Lou and Abby host twelve writers at an isolated lodge for a retreat of workshops and creative work. When a writer dies during an enormous blizzard, their carefully planned gathering becomes a mystery far from easy help.

Lou inherits books, journals, and photo albums from a woman she barely knew, discovering a hidden life of amateur investigation. The collection may solve four forgotten cases and reveal the clue that identifies the woman’s own killer.
