Series background & context

The Blizzard Brides is a shared historical-romance series in which severe winter weather raises the stakes for women and men trying to build new lives. Lynn Donovan's contributions are A Groom for Linda, A Groom for Hollie, and A Groom for Becca.

A blizzard is a natural fit for a frontier romance. It can strand people together, cut off help, expose a weak plan, and make shelter, food, and trust feel urgent. In this series, winter is not only scenery. It is part of the pressure that forces characters to decide whom they can depend on.

Each of Donovan's books centers on a different woman and the prospect of a groom. That structure makes the stories approachable as individual romances while giving them a common atmosphere of snow, isolation, and hard choices.

The heroines have their own reasons for seeking a new start, and the men they meet have their own responsibilities and doubts. Courtship has to happen alongside survival and the demands of a difficult season.

Readers can expect clean Western romance with a brisk, wintry mood. The shared-series format means the larger world includes other authors' couples, but Donovan's stories focus on their own central pairings.

Start with A Groom for Linda, then read A Groom for Hollie and A Groom for Becca in that order.
