Series background & context

The Bayside books are the Hunter family romances that lean into cousins, second chances, and the beautiful mess of returning home. They are part of the wider Hunter world, but they have their own rhythm. These stories spend a lot of time in coastal towns, around family businesses, weddings, old secrets, and people who thought they had moved on until home proved them wrong.

The couples change from book to book, but the setup is usually familiar in the best way. Someone comes back to town. Someone else has built walls that seem sensible until love starts pressing on them. A family secret, a stalker, a murder investigation, or plain old emotional baggage raises the stakes. The romance always comes first, but suspense is never far away.

That is what makes these books feel a little different from a standard clean romance. The Hunter family network matters. Siblings, cousins, parents, and friends keep turning up with opinions, support, and their own unresolved history. The towns feel lived in because people remember each other, and they remember what went wrong.

Expect cozy coastal settings, warm family scenes, and relationships that have to survive more than a simple misunderstanding. If you want clean romance with a little extra tension and a strong family backdrop, the Bayside branch is a good place to settle in.
