Texas Time Travel Books in Order

Texas Time Travel does exactly what the title promises, but it keeps one boot planted in ranch country while it does it.

These books are romances first, with time travel used to throw capable, stubborn people into impossible situations. A nineteenth-century ranch woman can wake up in the present. A woman from another era can meet a modern Texas sheriff. A wartime pilot can fall through a storm and land in the wrong century. Clemmons has fun with the setup, but she does not treat it like a gimmick.

The real question is always belonging.

Because the series is grounded in one extended world, especially the Knight family and their ranch connections, the books feel connected instead of random. There are practical problems to solve, sabotage, hidden agendas, ranch disputes, and the simple shock of realizing the world has moved on without you. That keeps the stakes human even when the premise is not.

The tone is lighter than some of Clemmons's straight western suspense, but there is still danger, and there is still a lot of emotional adjustment. Characters have to decide not only who they love, but where, and when, they belong.

Start with Texas Lightning, then move through Texas Rainbow and Texas Storm. If you like western romance but want something a little more playful, with portals, storms, and culture shock mixed into the love story, this is the series to try.
