Series background & context
Terranovum Brides is an early Sara Fields sci-fi fantasy trilogy set on a planet where Earth women are brought into a strange, dangerous, and deeply hierarchical world. The series has alien politics, magic, shifters, royal power, rebellion, and romances that begin under harsh circumstances.
A Gift for the King introduces Terranovum through Lana and King Dante of Legeari. Lana is taken from Earth and brought into a society where human women can become slaves, wives, or something more important than they understand at first. Dante has a kingdom to protect, and Lana's arrival is tied to threats larger than romance.
A Gift for the Doctor follows Morgana, a powerful sorceress captured by an enemy and placed under the care of Kade, a doctor and shifter whose loyalty is not what it first seems. A Gift for the Commander centers on Olivia and Wes, the commander of the king's army, as war threatens Terranovum.
The setting gives the trilogy its shape. Terranovum is beautiful, magical, and unstable. Civil conflict and old power struggles keep pressing on the couples.
