Tales of Eternia Books in Order

Tales of Eternia is a middle grade action-adventure line set in the world of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe, where swords, magic, strange creatures, and futuristic tech all share the same landscape. Eternia is a big, colorful fantasy world built for battles, quests, and heroic teamwork. Across the series, familiar figures from the franchise step into the spotlight, so the stories feel connected to the larger world while still giving individual characters room to lead.

Liselle Sambury's entry in the series, Lost in the Void, puts Teela at the center. She is also the Sorceress, which means she is not only one of Prince Adam's most trusted allies but also a young magic user still trying to understand the full shape of her powers. That matters a lot here. Teela is brave and capable, but she is also restless, impatient, and more than willing to act before she has all the answers. Her immediate goal is to find Eldress, the missing guardian of Castle Grayskull, because Eldress may be the one person who can help her make sense of what she is becoming.

Teela's biggest problem is that she does not always wait for permission.

The book kicks off with danger already spreading across Eternia as a reptilian army causes havoc. But the larger adventure begins when Teela takes matters into her own hands and a spell goes badly wrong. Instead of solving her problem, she lands in an alternate dimension with its own warped version of the world she knows. In that place there are no Masters of the Universe to rely on, her magic no longer works the way it should, Adam is far less ready to fight, and King Skeletor rules. It is a strong middle grade setup because the stakes are clear right away, but there is still room for wonder, weirdness, and humor.

The setting does a lot of the work. Castle Grayskull, magical portals, strange armies, and alternate versions of familiar characters all give the story momentum. At the same time, the emotional core stays simple and readable. Teela wants to understand herself, protect her friends, and find her way home. That keeps the adventure moving even when the world gets stranger. Younger readers get a fast quest, but they also get a heroine whose uncertainty feels real.

Like the rest of Tales of Eternia, this is built to feel big without becoming hard to follow. The tone is energetic, heroic, and accessible, with teamwork and problem-solving doing as much work as combat. Fans of the Netflix show will recognize the world right away, but newcomers can still jump in because the story is clear about who Teela is and what she is up against.

If you want a fantasy adventure that moves quickly and puts a capable, magic-wielding heroine front and center, this series is easy to enjoy. Sambury's contribution in particular gives Teela a lively, high-stakes story that fits the larger world of Eternia while still feeling like her own.
