Where should I start?
If you want the core Logan's Beach experience: King → Tyrant → Lawless → Soulless
If you want the wildest, most emotional character arc: Preppy, Part One → Preppy, Part Two → Preppy, Part Three
If you want an earlier, darker entry point: The Dark Light of Day → Dark Needs
If you want swampy small-town suspense: The Outskirts → The Outliers
If you want a newer revenge-heavy spin-off: Pike → Pawn
Author bio
T.M. Frazier was born on Long Island, New York, and moved to Southwest Florida when she was eight. She still lives in that part of the state, and Florida shows up all through her work, in the heat, the water, the rough little towns, and the feeling that trouble is never far away.
She started writing young. In middle school she was part of a club called AUTHORS CLUB, where she and other girls worked on fiction together. It was an early sign of what she kept coming back to, even when writing was still more dream than plan.
After high school, she attended Florida Gulf Coast University and originally planned to become a reporter. Life took a different turn. She spent more than ten years working in real estate sales, building a career that looked steady from the outside while the idea of writing stayed in the background.
But it never really left her.
With encouragement from her husband, and a lot of late nights, she finally made room for the thing she had wanted for years. Her debut novel, The Dark Light of Day, was published in 2013. It set the tone for much of what followed, damaged people, dangerous choices, hard edges, and love stories that do not arrive in neat packages.
A couple of years later, King helped bring her to a much wider audience. That book, and the novels that followed it, built a connected world of ex-cons, bikers, loyal friends, women fighting for control of their own lives, and men who are often one bad choice away from disaster. Readers who stay with her work usually do it for that mix of darkness and devotion.
Then came more of the books many readers now connect with her name, Tyrant, Lawless, the Preppy novels, The Outskirts, Perversion, and Pike. Across those stories, she keeps returning to some of the same ideas: found family, trauma, survival, class tension, obsession, and the strange way tenderness can grow in hard places. Her heroes are often morally messy. Her heroines are rarely passive for long.
She also has a clear feel for what her readers want. They come for the antiheroes, the sexual tension, the suspense, and the emotional punch, but they stay because her books are deeply connected to one another. Side characters matter. Places matter. Old wounds matter. When someone shows up again three books later, it usually means something.
Some milestones came quickly. Preppy, Part One was a finalist in the 2016 Goodreads Choice Awards for romance, and her books have appeared on the USA Today bestseller list. Her work has also been translated for readers well beyond the United States.
These days she still lives in Southwest Florida with her husband and daughter. The setting changed less than the job did. She just ended up writing the kinds of stories she had wanted to tell all along.
