Sunset Ridge Books in Order

Sunset Ridge is a newer Brenda Minton setting, and it has a slightly quieter, more reflective feel than some of her earlier cowboy series. The books are small-town romances built around people returning home, caring for family, and facing old relationships they never fully settled.

What links the series is not a huge external plot. It is the way crisis brings characters back to Sunset Ridge and makes them choose whether they are only passing through or whether this place still has a claim on them. In Reunited by the Baby, Matthew Rivers comes home to help his father and finds his plans upended by an abandoned infant and the nurse he once rejected. In A Valentine's Day Return, Mark Rivers comes back after rehab meaning only to ask forgiveness, then discovers that everyday life with his ex-wife and daughter still has a pull.

That makes Sunset Ridge a series about restoration more than reinvention. People are not becoming brand-new versions of themselves. They are trying to be better in the middle of old history, family illness, work obligations, and the awkward closeness of a town that remembers everything.

The tone is gentle, hopeful, and very relationship-driven. Babies, coffee shops, health scares, and homecoming all matter more than spectacle.
