Sunset Point Books in Order

Sunset Point is a little different from Laurie Roma's longer solo series because it comes out of a shared-world setup. The idea is simple: multiple authors write linked contemporary romances around the same island setting, so the pleasure comes from both the central couple and the sense that other stories are happening just down the beach.

That shared atmosphere is the hook.

For Roma, the key book here is Cross Point. It takes the tropical, getaway-style mood you would expect from an island romance and adds a sharper suspense edge. Katrina Cross arrives to do a favor and quickly realizes paradise has problems, including missing money, cut corners, and a dead foreman. On top of that, she gets pulled between two very different men, a regulation-loving police lieutenant and a corporate boss whose world is already starting to crack.

That mix gives Sunset Point its flavor on Roma's side of the fence. The setting promises heat, escape, and fantasy, but the plot keeps introducing complications that make the island feel less like a postcard and more like a place where secrets are hard to keep buried. The romance is still front and center, yet the mystery keeps nudging the characters into harder choices.

Because this is a shared-world branch rather than a huge standalone saga, the scale feels tighter than something like the IAD Agency or 3013. You are not here for massive mythology or a long-running cast tree. You are here for a fast-moving story, a vivid destination, and characters who have to sort out desire while trouble closes in around them. That makes it a good fit if you want something self-contained but still connected to a larger group of books.

It is also a nice example of how flexible Roma can be. Even inside a beach setting, she still gravitates toward protective characters, high emotion, and a little danger in the air. If you like interconnected series and contained romances with a touch of suspense, Sunset Point is an easy branch to sample. Start with Cross Point and treat it like a quick trip into one corner of a larger island world.
