The Stonefall trilogy drops into the aftermath of alien invasion and refuses to make that aftermath neat. Civilization has already been shattered. Communities are splintered. Violence is common. What makes Stonefall distinct is that it is not only about fighting invaders. It is about what human beings do after the sky has already fallen. The aliens are part of the threat, but so are scarcity, fanaticism, opportunism, and the temptation to become cruel in the name of survival. The books keep circling the same hard question: how much of your humanity can you shed before survival stops meaning anything?

The tone is bleak, tense, and character-led. There is action here, but the real weight comes from family stakes, moral corrosion, and a world where every sanctuary has terms attached. If you like post-apocalyptic fiction with a sci-fi premise but a very human center, Stonefall is a strong trilogy to pick up in order.
