The Steele Family books take Crystal Kaswell's rock star world into its next generation. These stories are built around the grown children and close family friends who came out of the Sinful Serenade universe, so the music legacy is still there, but the emotional focus has shifted. Now the question is less how to survive fame for the first time and more how to build an identity when your family story is already larger than life.

That shows up right away in Kiss and Fake Up. Damon Webb and Cassie Steele are not strangers meeting cute. They grew up around the same people, carry old hurt, and know exactly where to press when they want to wound or flirt. Music is part of the plot, but so are sobriety, betrayal, and the pressure of living up to who everyone expects them to be.

A Match Made in Vegas takes a different route. Daphne Webb and Jackson get thrown into a classic accidental marriage setup, but the book still belongs to the same world of strong family ties, ambition, and characters trying to decide whether love helps or hinders the life plan they have built.

That family context matters. Parents, siblings, old band friendships, and long memories are everywhere.
