Series background & context

The Steamy Coffee Collection is exactly what the title promises, short, hot workplace romances with a strong jolt of attitude. These books are standalones, but they are all cut from the same cloth. Expect Manhattan professionals, cocky men, women with excellent reasons to roll their eyes, and openings that throw you straight into the conflict.

In Naughty Boss, one misdirected email does most of the heavy lifting. A frustrated employee vents to her best friend about her impossible boss, except the message lands in the worst inbox possible. That gives the novella its whole rhythm. It is built on embarrassment, instant confrontation, and the fact that both characters already know the attraction is there.

Dirty Doctor moves the setting from the office to a private practice. The hero is a doctor who expects professionalism and gets anything but when a woman from his very personal online past suddenly becomes part of his working world. It keeps the same fast banter as the first book, but with a more intimate, contained setup.

Then Cocky Client throws a publicist into crisis mode when her arrogant one-night stand walks back into her life as the most high-stakes client of her career. That book is especially good at the series' favorite trick, taking a terrible day and making it much worse in a fun way.

These are not slow-burn, deeply layered sagas. They are quick-hit romances with strong hooks, lots of heat, and characters who go from irritated to tempted in record time. Whitney G. uses text, email, inner monologue, and sharp dialogue to keep everything moving, so the books feel breezy even when the chemistry gets intense.

If you like your romance short, snappy, and full of polished professionals behaving very badly around each other, this collection is an easy place to start.
