Series background & context
Stealth Ops is where Brittney Sahin goes all-in on covert missions, high stakes, and the kind of found-family teamwork you get when people have to trust each other with their lives. The core idea is simple and fun: a handpicked unit of Navy SEALs is tasked with operations so sensitive they can’t officially exist. To the outside world, they look like private contractors under a clean cover identity. The team takes orders at the highest level, and even allies don’t always know the full plan.
Their cover is Scott and Scott Securities. Their real job is working in the shadows.
The “Bravo Team” books (the Finding titles) follow the first wave of operators as they’re pulled into this off-the-books world and forced to balance orders with conscience. Finding His Mark opens with recruitment and the first taste of what the job really costs. From there, Finding Justice leans into political secrets and a mission that gets personal, while Finding the Fight and Finding Her Chance keep escalating with threats that don’t stay neatly inside a briefing folder.
One of the pleasures of this series is the mix of competence and vulnerability. The heroes are trained, disciplined, and dangerous, but the romances don’t feel like an afterthought. Sahin pairs them with women who push back, ask hard questions, and have their own skills, from government work to protective training to legal grit. The relationship tension often comes from the same place as the suspense: who’s telling the truth, who’s being used, and what happens when the mission and the heart want opposite things.
The action is globe-trotting when it needs to be, but the series also has a strong “home base” vibe through the team’s cover life and their tight internal bonds. Missions can involve assassination attempts, covert extractions, and hidden enemies, but the through-line is always the unit, and how far they’ll go for each other.
Finding the Way Back is a turning point, pushing deeper into the consequences of hidden agendas and the risk of leaks, betrayal, or a single bad decision. You can read these books as standalones, and each romance gets a full ending, but they land best in order because the bigger story around the team keeps building in the background.
If you like romantic suspense where the romance matters as much as the operation, Stealth Ops is a strong place to start, and it’s also the doorway into several later spin-offs in Sahin’s shared universe.
