Series background & context
Stark International is a spin-off branch of the Stark world that shifts the spotlight to new couples and new problems inside Damien Stark’s orbit. The Steele Stories, beginning with Say My Name, follow Sylvia Brooks and billionaire Jackson Steele through a relationship that starts with an agenda and turns into something neither can control.
Sylvia isn’t looking for love, she’s looking for revenge. Jackson isn’t looking for a fight, but he won’t back down when someone tries to take him apart. Their romance runs hot, but it’s always shadowed by secrets and consequences.
Attraction is the easy part.
The setting often overlaps with Stark International’s businesses, including high-end resorts and high-stakes deals. That corporate sheen gives the books a glamorous feel, but the emotional core is messy, personal, and very human.
This series is best read in order, since Sylvia and Jackson’s story builds across multiple books and the reveals land harder when you’ve seen the earlier setup.
If you’ve read the main Stark books, this is a natural next stop. If you haven’t, you can still start here, just expect a few references to the larger Stark universe along the way.
