Space Agent Jonathan Bartell Books in Order

New graduate Jonathan Bartell considers himself fortunate to become a quarantine officer aboard an orbital station. Doctor Gaby Larsen’s fear of revealing what she knows soon suggests that the greatest hazards of his new posting come from other people.

Jonathan and Gaby reach a lunar research base for a secret project, but their contact fails to appear. A debt-driven smuggling operation and a mysterious capsule buried in a crater threaten the station while frightened witnesses refuse to speak.

At an asteroid-belt conference, Jonathan hears disturbing reports of unexplained events aboard a research station. A military gag order prevents discussion of their cause, leaving him to investigate who is suppressing the truth and what danger the discoveries may pose.

On Miranda, Jonathan and Gaby discover thrill-seekers have entered an area contaminated with alien bacteria. Preventing infection from reaching human settlements becomes more complicated as personal rivalries and concealed motives cast doubt on the official response.

Jonathan and Gaby’s transport diverts to assist Astoria Station, which answers only with automated messages. Drawing on their knowledge of disease and habitat failures, they investigate a disaster that others appear determined to conceal.
