Solar Storm Books in Order

A solar eruption destroys power grids, separating librarian Jay Cantrell from his pilot wife and college-age daughter. Without news or reliable transport, he must decide how to find his family as ordinary life disintegrates.

Stranded on foot in winter, Jay Cantrell pushes through Indiana to find his daughter. Meanwhile, his wife confronts the realities of disaster relief, and students left at college must defend themselves against growing desperation and violence.

Jay Cantrell hides a worsening injury as his reunited group travels toward Michigan. When their vehicle breaks down, a stranger offers help at a troubling price, while their hoped-for refuge faces suspicions of its own.

Kate and her companions plan to escape a militia-controlled community with help from sympathetic residents. Farther north, Mac prepares a last refuge, but their flight risks provoking people whose power rests on the collapse of order.

The Cantrells' resistance to a local militia draws them into a wider civil war. Sheltering in northern Michigan as winter deepens, they must prepare their battered group for an enemy determined to hunt them down.
