Smart Woman's Mystery Books in Order

Ursula Smart joins her mother's argumentative book club for a retreat at an isolated country house. Snow traps the guests as bodies appear, leaving the group to interrupt its quarrels long enough to determine whether the killer is among them.

A gentle Scottish camping trip goes wrong when the Smart family's boat capsizes and leaves them stranded with strangers. Cold, hunger, and isolation soon become secondary concerns as someone begins killing the island's unwilling visitors one by one.

Ursula and her mother's book group attend a supper club at a Dartmoor castle where their hosts' resentments quickly surface. Floodwater cuts off escape, communications fail, and a midnight killing forces the guests to consider who might strike again.

Ursula and Pandora attend a crime writer's island book launch, where their host dies after eating poisonous fish. Called as witnesses at the resulting trial, they face a troubling question when Ursula begins doubting the prosecution has identified the real killer.

Ursula plans a small winter wedding beside a frozen Finnish lake, despite her mother's objections. When the groom disappears on the morning of the ceremony and a body is discovered, family tension gives way to the problem of surviving the celebration.
