Silver Sagas Books in Order

The Silver Sagas is Lea Carter's long-running fantasy series set in Fairydom, a world shared by several fairy tribes with their own customs, homes, politics, and old grudges. It begins with Silver Princess, where Rebecca, the youngest daughter of the Silver Fairy king, has been protected and carefully educated all her life. Then love, betrayal, and kidnapping make it clear that being prepared on paper is not the same as being ready for the world.

Rebecca's story gives the early books their center. In Silver Majesty and Silver Verity, she faces the weight of royal duty, an arranged-marriage plan, a looming pirate threat, and the need to make a real partnership out of a public match. The stakes are personal, but they are also political. The future of the Silver Fairy Tribe depends on choices that affect the other tribes as well.

Fairydom is bigger than one court.

As the series continues, Carter shifts the spotlight to people who have been on the edges of earlier events. Troubled Skies follows Prince Cambrian and Captain Kimberlite as a missing windship and pirate activity lead to a dangerous discovery. Dress Blues stays close to Cambrian and Constance as their relationship is tested by court pressures, a military inquiry, and the complications of well-meaning relatives.

The middle books open up the setting even further. In The Seeker's Storm, Kuntza must confront fear and misinformation among the Water Fairies while a crisis threatens the Sky Fairy Tribe. Heartwood introduces Wood Fairy Prince Isaac, badly wounded after a fight with pirates, and Cassidy, a Water Fairy surgeon whose presence puts a carefully guarded secret at risk. Wedgewood continues with Cassidy in the Wood Fairy city of Weetu, where she must protect her identity while working beside people she is starting to care about.

The later novels, Fission and Fusion, deal with the consequences of the long separation between Water Fairies and the surface tribes. Historian Rolf Warner becomes involved in changes that could reshape Fairydom, while Isaac and Cassidy face difficult questions about trust, duty, and building a future across tribal lines.

Expect a gentle, clean fantasy with romance, court intrigue, airships, pirates, and plenty of everyday world-building. Meals, work, family obligations, medicine, travel, and local traditions matter alongside royal ceremonies and emergencies. The books build on prior events, especially in the later stretch, but several change focus enough to give readers a fresh entry point.

At heart, this is a series about people trying to do the decent thing when history and responsibility make everything complicated.
