Shadow Ops: Reawakening Trilogy Books in Order

The Reawakening trilogy goes back to the early, chaotic years of Myke Cole's Shadow Ops world. Magic has only recently returned, and the institutions trying to control it are still taking shape. That makes these books a prequel in setting, but they work like a focused military and occult thriller with their own lead character and a complete central conflict.

In Javelin Rain, Jim and his family are on the run while the Cell closes in. Siege Line brings the trilogy's conflict toward a northern operation where the Cell is hunting a form of magic that could shift the balance of power. The action moves through raids, pursuits, and military planning, while Jim's personal fight with the organization that remade him remains at the heart of the story.

Readers familiar with Shadow Ops will recognize the larger world and its early political strains. New readers do not need to know the original trilogy first, though. The Reawakening books explain what matters as they go, and their earlier place in the timeline makes them a good alternative starting point for anyone drawn to Navy SEAL action, government conspiracies, and supernatural horror.
