By the time Hidden in Darkness, Book Three arrives, betrayal, vengeance, and power are driving almost everything. The heroine is no longer just reacting to danger. She is deciding what kind of force she wants to become inside that danger. That gives the trilogy its continuing hook. The books are full of heat, but the larger arc is about survival, loyalty, and whether love can mean anything solid in a world built on threats and half-truths.

Read this one in order, start to finish, with no skips. Hidden in Darkness, Book One lays the groundwork. Book Two widens the damage. Book Three pays off the anger.
