Series background & context
Royal World is the continuation of Clara and Alexander’s life after the first major arc of the Royals Saga. It was formerly connected with the Sovereign titles, and it is best read after you already know who Clara and Alexander are, what they survived, and why their marriage is never just private.
The series begins with Cross Me. Clara and Alexander have fought hard for their relationship, but happily ever after is not a quiet place when one of you is king. An attack reminds them that power always draws enemies. The Sovereign Games are meant to bring people together, but someone is working to expose secrets that could break the royal family open.
The palace is not done with them.
Claim Me, also associated with the title Wicked Queen, pushes Clara further into her role as queen. She is not the American outsider from the first book anymore. She has love, scars, and authority, and those things do not always sit neatly together. Alexander wants to protect her, but protection can feel like control when secrets keep surfacing.
Consume Me raises the danger again. The fight becomes bigger than one marriage, reaching into the crown, the family, and the future they are trying to defend. The romance is still heated, but the series also leans into conspiracy, royal duty, and the cost of being the most watched couple in the country.
What makes Royal World work is the changed stage of the relationship. Clara and Alexander are not just falling in love. They are trying to stay together while leading, parenting, grieving, forgiving, and making decisions that affect more than themselves.
Do not start here unless you enjoy entering a story midstream. Start with Command Me for the full emotional setup, then come to Royal World when you want the aftershocks.
