Rose McQuinn is the daughter of Inspector Jeremy Faro, but she has no interest in living quietly in her father’s shadow. These historical mysteries follow her as she becomes an investigator in her own right, working in late Victorian and early Edwardian Scotland. The series opens with The Inspector’s Daughter. In 1895, Rose returns to Edinburgh from America after the death of her child and the disappearance of her husband, Danny, a Pinkerton detective.
