Series background & context

Return to Haven brings Bennett back to Haven, Georgia, a small Southern town where old friendships, unfinished feelings, and local history all matter. The series centers on people trying to rebuild part of the town's airport while sorting out the rest of their lives.

That airport thread gives the books an identity beyond the romance. These are stories about coming home, deciding what should stay, and figuring out whether a place you once outgrew might still fit. Because the leads are connected through friendships and shared projects, the town feels lived in rather than decorative.

The tone is warmer than some of Bennett's wealth-and-scandal books. There is still strong chemistry and emotional friction, but the appeal here is just as much about community and second chances.

If you like small-town contemporary romance with adult characters, shared history, and a setting that feels central to the story, Return to Haven is one of her best places to start.
