Series background & context

Return to Catamount is a small-town western trilogy with strong family roots. The series follows the Barclay sisters as they come back to Catamount, Colorado, where the family ranch, old grief, and half-finished relationships are all waiting for them.

Home is not a neutral place in these books.

Rocky Mountain Rivals, One Colorado Night, and A Colorado Claim all revolve around what happens when returning to save family land also means facing the people you once loved, avoided, or blamed. Fleur, Jessamyn, and Lark each have their own history with Catamount, but the same pressures keep surfacing. The ranch matters. Their late grandmother's legacy matters. So do the secrets and misunderstandings that pushed them away in the first place.

The tone is warm but not soft. These books like second chances, but they make the couples work for them. Exes, rivals, brothers, and longtime locals all carry enough history to make every reunion complicated. That gives the trilogy a nice mix of western atmosphere and tightly personal stakes.

If you like stories where a return home can fix one part of life and wreck another, Return to Catamount delivers exactly that.
